Omena Historical Society and the Putnam Cloud Tower House Museum

The Omena Historical Society operates the Putnam Cloud Tower House Museum in downtown Omena. The society offers historic exhibits at the museum and features programs about Omena's past.

The museum is open to visit Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in June, July and August and Saturday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in September and October. The museum is closed from November 1 to June 1 but tours are available by appointment. Call 231-386-7539 to schedule a tour.

The Putnam Cloud Tower House Museum is located between the yellow house next to the Post Office and Tamarack Gallery.

Located inside the Leelanau State Park north of Northport, The Grand Traverse Lighthouse has been guiding ships and sailors since it was built in 1852.
